Training Information

For each event there are 4 training schedules available. There is a Run/Walk program for those who are new to running or have not worked out in a while, a Novice Run program, an Intermediate Run program and an Advanced Run program.

Pace Teams:

Need some extra support in your goal to finish the Hospital Hill Run? Are you looking to run a personal best? Join a Garmin Pace Team where you will be guided by experienced Garmin Pace Team Leaders to help you meet your performance goals.

Garmin Pace Teams will be established for the following half marathon finish times: 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10, 2:20, 2:30, 2:40, 2:50, 3:00, 3:15, 3:30

There is no cost to participate.

The Half Marathon course is open and fully supported for 3 hours and 30 minutes, a 16 minute per mile pace.

The 10K course is open and fully supported for 3 hours, a 29 minute per mile pace.

The UMKC School of Medicine 5K course is open and fully supported for 90 minutes, a 30 minute per mile pace.

The Hospital Hill Run encourages athletes of all skill levels to participate. Before you start any training program, please check with a physician to make sure you are healthy enough to train for and participate in an endurance event.
