Half Marathon

The half marathon distance was added to the Hospital Hill Run in 1976 to complement the 6.8 mile event.  The half marathon course shows athletes some of the highlights of Kansas City including the Power & Light District, the Sprint Center, The Kansas City Star building, Hospital Hill, UMKC Campus, Brookside Neighborhood, The Plaza, Broadway Business District, the The National World War I Museum and Memorial and finally back to the beginning at Crown Center.

**The half marathon course must be completed within 3 hours and 30 minutes**

Start: 7:00AM (Grand Blvd just north of Pershing)
All wheelchair events start: 6:55AM

    • Start line on Grand Blvd North of Pershing
    • Go north on Grand Blvd to Truman Blvd
    • Head East on Truman to Oak Street
    • South on Oak Street to Gillham
    • South on Gillham to West Gillham ( about 42 nd)
    • South on West Gillham to 45th Street
    • West on 45th Street to Rockhill.
    • South on Rockhill to Meyer
    • Go west on Meyer to Brookside
    • Go north on Brookside to 62nd Street
    • Head east on 62nd Street to Main Street
    • Head north on Main Street to 61st Street
    • Head west on 61st Street to Brookside
    • Go north on Brookside to Cleaver II Blvd. (47th Street)
    • West on Cleaver to JC Nichols Parkway
    • JC Nichols turns into Broadway
    • Continue North on Broadway to 31st Street
    • East on 31st Street to Wyandotte
    • North on Wyandotte to Memorial Drive
    • East on Memorial Drive to Main
    • North on Main to 27th Street
    • East on 27th Street to Grand Avenue
    • North on Grand Avenue to Crown Center
