In 2008 the Hospital Hill Run team created a new charity program that allowed organizations of all sizes and interests to raise funds in a fun and exciting way, by taking part in one of three amazing events. Sixteen charities joined in our inaugural year bringing over 200 participants to the event and raising over $50,000 for their respective causes. In the past 5 years there have been 2,188 charity participants, 1,283 charity volunteers who have raised $808,818 for their respective causes. Through Hospital Hill Run, dogs have been rescued, kids have gone to camp, people with spinal cord injuries have receiving therapy, Alzheimer’s families have received respite care, research has been forwarded and much much more.
It is an honor to have participated as a Charity Partner with the Hospital Hill Run the past 3 years and we are looking forward to continuing this relationship for the upcoming 2013 year. The Hospital Hill Run is one of the most prestigious and well-organized runs in the history of Kansas City. As one of the oldest and largest races in Kansas City, we are extremely proud to be part of this amazing event. Many of our supporters have mentioned that they love to run in this race and are excited that our organization is part of the Charity Program. It not only helps them train, but inspires them to train harder and cross the finish line faster knowing that they are running on behalf of a child that we serve.
It is also a wonderful way for us to be part of runner’s personal accomplishment to finish this race. “Conquering The Hill” is something to be extremely proud of and something we like to help our runners accomplish. We hope to support them as much as they are supporting us. We provide them with the opportunity to run on behalf of a child that we serve and provide them with this child’s inspiring story.
Lastly, being involved as a Charity Partner allows us to increase awareness about our
organization and the services we offer to the community. This is an invaluable resource that helps us spread our mission to the community at large. We believe that every child deserves to be identified by their strengths rather than limitations. We hope that by participating as a Charity Partner we can further educate the community about our services and the importance of early intervention. There is nothing more important than ensuring a bright future for every child and we hope to be able to reach out to the children who need our services so that they can reach their fullest potential.
Thank you for including the Kansas City not-for-profit community in the 2013 Hospital Hill Run. We are honored to help represent this amazing run and hope to help increase your attendance and help you meet your goals while helping us meet ours. We sincerely thank you for providing us with this opportunity and are extremely grateful to you and your organization.
